FJB Celebrates 31st Sacerdotal With Simple Breakfast With Parishioners

Parishioners bless FJB on his Sacerdotal Anniversary
Last June 6, Fr. JB quietly celebrated his 31st year in the priesthood. During the morning mass which he celebrated, he thanked the Lord God for His kindness and blessings for allowing him to serve God and parishioners these past 31 years.

In response, the parishioners, through the PPC Head, Kuya Peter Tamayo, offered a prayer for Fr. JB. The prayer reads:

Most gracious heavenly Father, on the occasion of the 31st sacerdotal anniversary of Fr. JB, we thank you for the gift of love, for the gift of life, and for the gift of vocation. We thank you for giving us Fr. JB and for his self-sacrifice to San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish.

O risen Lord Jesus, our great high priest, we know you have great love for priests with all your priestly heart. Keep Fr. JB close to your sacred heart and bless him abundantly. We lift up to you his needs. In his loneliness, comfort him; in his sorrows, strengthen him; in his frustrations, point out to him that it is through suffering that the soul is purified.

Shower Fr. JB with patience, sweetness, and love as he shepherds his flock here in San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish. Watch over him and keep him sheltered in your ever-present love. Be the driver of his life; extend to him your guiding hand as he walks through life’s road. Give him wisdom to always follow your will.

Lord, open his ears so he can listen to your sweet voice; open his eyes so he can see the beautiful things around him; and open his heart so he can feel the love of his parishioners. We ask you to give him valiant faith in times of difficulty; hope in times of trouble and sorrow; and steadfast love for all of us. We ask You Lord to heal him from his bodily ailments and give him strength to face the day-to-day challenges.

O loving Mother Mary, mother of priests, take to heart Fr. JB who is close to you because of his priestly ordination. Be his comfort, be his joy and be his strength as he serves our parish. Keep him under your maternal protection and inspiration and do not tire in consoling Fr. JB. Always come to his aid and deliver him from every danger.

San Lorenzo Ruiz, we implore your help and guidance to Fr. JB as he leads the lay faithful of the Sanlo community to God’s heavenly kingdom.

We lift up to you O Lord all our prayers, wishes and aspirations for Fr. JB on his 31st sacerdotal anniversary.

Amen.

After the mass, everyone moved over to the Nishizaka Hall for a simple breakfast and a short program with Ate Josie Cruz as emcee.
