Last April 26 and May 3, a choral conducting workshop was held at Don Bosco Church in Makati which was open to all instrumentalists, liturgical composers, choral conductors and section heads (lead soprano, tenor, bass and alto) of choirs. It was a half-day event conducted over two Saturdays, which included a Choral Clinique on the 2nd Saturday. Attendees from our parish included: Joi Lumba (CFC and ROL Choir), Kuya Reggie (ROL Choir), Anjo Santiago (Gospel Choir), AJ Lumba (Gospel Choir), Cora Pangyarihan (Gospel Choir), Hazel de Ocampo (ENZO Choir), Nikko Trinidad (ENZO Choir), Carl Tamayo (ENZO Choir), Althea Tamayo (Himig Sanlo Choir), and Bok Bautista (Himig Sanlo Choir).
The workshop was led by Professor Lester Delgado, a professional musician with a Masters of Music major in Choral Conducting Studies, magna cum laude, from St. Paul University Manila. He is currently part of the teaching staff of CEU Conservatory of Music in Manila. He is the Musical Director/Conductor of the Vocalismo Choral Group, CEU Makati Singers and DOT Chorale.
A Choral Clinique for all SLRP choir members will be given by Prof. Lester Delgado on June 21, 2014,
8AM – 5PM at SLRP Church.
